TNPL floats tenders for imported steam coal

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd (TNPL) has floated two separate tenders to procure 600,000 tons and 24,000 tons of imported steam coal for delivery at TNPL factory siding at Pugalur.

The specifications for 600,000 tons (+/- 5%) of imported material are thus: GCV (Kcal/Kg) (ADB) 6,000, inherent moisture (ADB) around 10%, total moisture (ARB) 18%, ash (ADB) max 8%, sulphur (ADB) max 0.8%, and volatile matter (ADB) 25% to 45%.

The due date for submission of technical-cum-commercial bid and price bids is February 26, 2016 (before 3.00 pm).

The tender for 24,000 tons (+/- 5%) of steam coal specifies South African origin and lays down the specifications as thus: GCV (ADB) 6,500, inherent moisture (ADB) 4%, total moisture (ARB) 12%, ash (ADB) max 14%, sulphur (ADB) around 1.0%, and volatile matter (ADB) around 30%.

The due date for submission of technical-cum-commercial bid and price bid is March 1, 2016 (before 3.00 pm).

The price for both the tenders should be quoted on C&F Karaikal basis, inclusive of all port charges (both loading and unloading ports), all other incidental expenses such as pilotage and berth hire charges, light dues, harbour dues, other taxes, assessment, night/holiday charges and other charges with respect to the vessel at port of discharge.
