Tata Power commissions 24-MW Gujarat wind farm

May 5: Tata Power commissioned a 24-MW wind farm at Rojmal in Gujarat through its subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), the company said in a statement recently.
The total capacity of the project is 54 MW. The 24 MW wind capacity is expected to generate approximately 52 MUs per year.
TPREL's Rojmal wind farm sells the power to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
With this, the total wind energy capacity of Tata Power stands at 511 MW while the total installed capacity of Tata Power stands at 8,750 MW and the clean and renewable energy capacity at 1,383 MW.
"This is one of the many key milestones in our endeavour to generate 20-25 percent of Tata Power's total generation capacity from clean energy sources,” said Anil Sardana, MD and CEO, Tata Power.
