Tata Power generation up 30% y-o-y in 2013-14

July 25: Tata Power India Limited reported a 30.35% increase in collective power generation to 45,210 million units (MU) in 2013-14 against a volume of 34,683 MUs generated in the previous financial year, the company said in a statement.
“The total power generation capacity of the company stood at 8,613 MW from various fuel sources such as thermal (coal, gas and oil), hydroelectric power, renewable energy (wind and solar PV) and waste heat recovery thereby reinforcing its position as the largest integrated power company in India,” the company statement said.
Anil Sardana, Managing Director, Tata Power, stated, “We at Tata Power are in the process of executing a number of power projects and aim to generate 18,000 MW by 2022 as well as an additional 4,000 MW of management of distribution networks.”
