Tulsiyan NEC finalises imported coal deal

October 16: Tulsiyan NEC Steel is believed to have finalised a deal to procure a small quantity of 50000 tons of imported coal cargo, but it has not yet signed the contract, industry sources said.

The company had floated enquiry for 4200 Kcal/kg (GAR) material for delivery in October-end at Ennore port.

The deal has been reportedly signed with a trader with ready stock at about $51.50 to $52.00 per ton, the source added.

Meanwhile, Simhapuri Energy, another South India based consumer, has also recently bought one parcel of 3800 Kcal GAR material for delivery at Krishnapatnam port, but the deal price is not yet known, the source added.
