U.S. Year-T0-Date Coal Production tataled 528.1 MMST; DOWN 8.7% Y-O-Y- EIA

United States the world’s second largest coal producer has produced approximately totaled an estimated 17.7 million short tons (mmst) of coal in a week (For the week ended August 1, 2015), EIA said in its latest report.
According to EIA’s latest report, this production estimate is 0.6% lower than last week's estimate and 11.8% lower than the production estimate in the comparable week in 2014.
East of the Mississippi River produced totaled an estimated 7.2 mmst (flat week over week) and west of the Mississippi River produced totaled an estimated 10.5 mmst (-0.94% week over week) , according to weekly figures released by the US Energy Information Agency (EIA), on Aug 6, 2015.
U.S. year-to-date (as of Aug 1, 2015) coal production totaled an estimated 528.1 mmst, 8.7% lower than the comparable year-to-date coal production in 2014.
