U.S produced 14.1 mmst week over week- EIA

United States the second largest coal producer in the world has produced approximately totaled an estimated 14.1 million short tons (mmst) of coal in a week (For the week ended July 4, 2015), EIA said in its latest report.
According to EIA’s latest report, this production estimate is 8.9% lower than last week's estimate and 16.6% lower than the production estimate in the comparable week in 2014.
East of the Mississippi River produced totaled an estimated 5.8 mmst (down 10.76% week over week) and west of the Mississippi River produced totaled an estimated 8.3 mmst (down 8.79% week over week) , according to weekly figures released by the US Energy Information Agency (EIA), on July 9, 2015.
U.S. year-to-date (as of July 4, 2015) coal production totaled an estimated 459 mmst, 8.4% lower than the comparable year-to-date coal production in 2014.
