U.S weekly coal production stays flat at 16 MMST

United States the second largest coal producer in the world has produced approximately totaled an estimated 16.0 million short tons (mmst) of coal in a week (For the week ended May 16, 2015), EIA said in its latest report.
According to EIA’s latest report, This production estimate is about the same as last week's estimate and 14.2% lower than the production estimate in the comparable week in 2014.
East of the Mississippi River produced totaled an estimated 6.7 mmst (-6.94 week over week) and west of the Mississippi River produced totaled an estimated 9.4 mmst (-6.93 week over week) , according to weekly figures released by the US Energy Information Agency (EIA), on May 21, 2015.
U.S. year-to-date (as of May 16, 2015) coal production totaled an estimated 347.8 mmst, 6.4% lower than the comparable year-to-date coal production in 2014.
