UPCL floats ICB notice to procure 3 mt imported coal

October 29: Udupi Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), part of the Lanco Group, has floated an international competitive bidding (ICB) notice, inviting two separate bids of 1.5 million tons (+/-25% of coal) each for procurement of a total of 3 mt of imported coal, according to information available with ICMW.

The material is to be procured on CIF basis for the 1,200 MW (2X600 MW) Udupi power project at Yelluru, in the Udupi district of Karnataka.

The imported coal to be supplied should have a GCV of 5,350-6,250 Kcal/Kg with sulphur content of 0.8% (ADB), ash content of 12% (ADB) and moisture content of 15.5% (ARB).

Interested parties can submit their bids till December 8, 2014 up to 1 pm. The techno-commercial bids will open on the same day at 4 pm.
