Uranium Corp takes up three new projects

October 30: Uranium Corporation of India Ltd (UCIL) has taken up three new projects in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Meghalaya to supply fuel to the nuclear power plants in the country, a company official told ICMW.
“The projects are awaiting approval and are under progress. These are Gogi project in Karnataka, Lambapur in Andhra Pradesh and KPM project in the West Khasi Hills in Meghalaya,” the official said.
“Currently, some pre-project and CSR activities are underway at these places,” he said.
UCIL, at present, has operations in the states of Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh. It has six underground and one opencast mines and two processing plants at Jaduguda and Turamdih in Jharkhand.
