Imports of pet coke via V O Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin Port) stood at 17,079 tons in January 2016, showing a sharp decrease of 78.97% month-on-month from 81,211 tons imported in December 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first 10 months (April-January) of the current fiscal (2015-16), pet coke imports via this port stood at 789,239 tons against 215,715 tons seen in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In January 2016, the entire volume of 17,079 tons came in from the US at a price range of Rs 5,090 - Rs 5,636 ($75-$84) per ton.
In December 2015, a volume of 6,000 tons had come in from the US at a price range of Rs 5,166- Rs 5,170 ($77-$77) per ton and 75,211 tons from other locations at price ranges not available.
