November 13: A volume of 410 tons of met coke was imported via VO Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin Port) in October 2015, down 12.21% from 467 tons imported in September 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first seven months (April-October) of the current fiscal (2015-16), met coke imports via this port stood at 3,355 tons while 222 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In October 2015, out of the entire volume of 410 tons, 36 tons came in from China at a price of Rs 15,674($240) per ton and import details of 374 tons were not available.
In September 2015, the entire volume of 467 tons came in from China at a price range of Rs 15,378 -Rs 19,186 ($234-$287) per ton.
