November 12: Imports of pet coke via V O Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin Port) stood at 78,989 tons in October 2015, showing a decrease of 6.55% from 84,521 tons imported in September 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For first seven months (April-October) of the current fiscal (2015-16), pet coke imports via this Port stood at 606,961 tons while 139,664 tons were imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In October 2015, 55,000 tons came in from the Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 3,201 ($49) per ton, 19,000 tons came in from the US at a price range of Rs 5,024-Rs 5,777 ($77-$87) per ton and 4,989 ton from other locations at price ranges not available.
In September 2015, 9,600 tons came in from the US at a price range of Rs 5,055-Rs 5,287 ($76-$79) per ton and 74,921 ton from other locations at price ranges not available.
