V O Chidambaranar coal handling up 6% in Nov m-o-m

December 12: Handling of coal at V O Chidambaranar Port stood at 883,000 tons during the month of November 2014, up almost 6.26% as compared to 831,000 tons handled during the month of October, according to a compilation by the Indian Ports Association (IPA).

During November 2013, coal handling at the port stood at 453,000 tons.

During the first eight months (April-November) of 2014-15, total coal handled at the port stood at 5,603,000 tons whereas the figure stood at 7,224,572 tons during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
