VISL floats RFQ notice to procure 20,000 tons LAM coke

October 10: Steel Authority of India Limited's (SAIL's) Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Plant (VISL) has floated a request for quotation (RFQ) notice to procure 20,000 tons (+/-2%) of low ash metallurgical (LAM) coke for supply to VISL on FOR Bhadravati basis by road, according to information available with ICMW.

The minimum quantity of LAM coke to be supplied per day shall be at the rate of 1/60th of the purchase order quantity, starting within 7 days from the date of placement of purchase order, the notice said.

The material to be procured should have 12% ash, 4% total moisture, 1% volatile matter, 0.6% sulphur, 0.03% phosphorus and 86% fixed arbon while the size should vary between 30-80 mm.

Interested parties can submit their bids till October 18, 2013 up to 11 am while the bids will open on the same day at 11.30 am.
