VO Chidambaranar Feb coal handling dips 41% m-o-m

The handling of coal by VO Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin Port) stood at 665,596 tons in February 2016, sharply down 41.34% from 1,134,580 tons handled in January 2016, an per provisional data available with ICMW.

However, during the first 11 months (April-February) of 2015-16, coal handling by this port stood at 13,534,111 tons, showing an increase of 10.87% from 12,207,007 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.

Similarly, handling of coal by the port in February 2015 stood at 1,485,788 tons, which shows that handling was up 55.20% y-o-y.
