Very strong demand was witnessed in the spot e-auction of G11 grade (GCV 4,001 to 4,300 Kcal/kg) coal on MSTC in July 2016 with a higher realised price, as per data available with ICMW.
A staggering 85% or 327,350 tons from the offered quantity of 384,700 tons from CIL subsidiaries got allotted during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 1,267 per ton.
Similar strong demand was witnessed in the spot e-auction of G11 grade coal on MSTC in June 2016 as nearly 79% or 366,440 tons from the offered quantity of 462,050 tons got allotted during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 1,176 per ton.
