Very high demand for G2 in March on other platform

April 27: Very high demand was seen for G2 grade (GCV of 6,701-7,000 Kcal/kg) of coal offered on the MSTC platform in March 2015 as out of 43,250 tons offered, 43,210 tons got allotted, at a weighted average price of Rs 4,943 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
It may be recalled that there were no offerings of G2 grade in the previous month of February.
Incidentally, there was no offering of G2 grade between August 2014 and January 2015.
In July, for G2 grade coal, moderate demand was witnessed as 5,500 tons got allotted out of the offered quantity of 13,750 tons during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 4,870 per ton.
