October 21: There was very strong demand in September 2013 for G10 grade (GCV 4,301 to 4,600 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL and NCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 120,340 tons got allotted.
In August, however, there seemed to be very poor demand for this grade offered by CCL, and MCL, as only 5,350 tons out of the offered quantity of 60,000 tons got allotted.
The weighted average price of this grade of coal in September 2013 was at Rs 1,933.29 against Rs 1,396.04 in August.
