April 3: A very strong demand was witnessed for G-12 (GCV between 3,700 and 4,000 Kcal/kg) grade coal offered on the e-auctions platform of coaljunction during March 2014 as the entire offering of 270,000 tons of coal got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,769/ton.
However, during February 2014 out of 1,283,500 tons offered, 1,218,200 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,312/ton.
During January 2014, the entire offered quantity of 200,000 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,225/ton.
