Very strong demand for G1 grade in April e-auction

May 5: There was very strong demand for G1 (GCV above 7,001 Kcal/kg) grades of coal in the e-auction in April 2015 as the entire offered quantity of 21,250 tons by NECL of CIL got allotted at weighted average price of Rs 6,682 per ton on the e-auction platform of coaljunction, as per data available to ICMW.
There was no G1 offering in March 2015 in this platform.
However, in February 2015, high demand was witnessed for 42,500 tons of G1 grade offered by NEC of CIL on this platform as 38,940 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,771 per ton.
