June 4: Very strong demand was witnessed for G12 (GCV between 3,700 and 4,000 Kcal/kg) grade coal offered on the e-auctions platform of coaljunction during May 2014 as the entire offering of 1,032,000 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,551/ton.
In April 2014 too, the entire offering of 15,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,273/ton.
Similarly, during March 2014, the entire offering of 270,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,769/ton.
