March 26: The entire quantity of 39,600 tons of G-6 grade (GCV 5,501 to 5,800 Kcal/kg) coal offered by two subsidiaries of CIL met with very strong demand in the February 2014 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as the whole quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,227 per ton.
However, a total of 39,600 tons of G-6 grade of coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL met with good demand in the January 2014 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as 82,938 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,926 per ton.
On the other hand, a total of 40,500 tons of G-6 grade of coal offered by two subsidiaries of CIL met with good demand in the December 2013 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as 33,200 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,354 per ton.
