April 23: A quantity of 83,675 tons of G-6 grade (GCV 5,501 to 5,800 Kcal/kg) coal offered by five subsidiaries of CIL met with very strong demand in the March 2014 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as 83,470 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,797 per ton.
In fact, the entire quantity of 39,600 tons of G-6 grade coal offered by two subsidiaries of CIL also met with very strong demand in the February 2014 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as the entire quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,227 per ton.
On the other hand, a total of 39,600 tons of G-6 grade of coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL met with good demand in the January 2014 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as 82,938 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,926 per ton.
