Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel extends met coke tender

Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant (VISL) of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has extended the last date for submission of offers against its tender for procuring 20,000 tons of metallurgical coke to March 5, according to information with ICMW.

The company had floated the tender on February 2 and the last date for submission of bids was initially fixed for February 23, but it has now been extended till March 5.

The interested parties can submit their offers for quantities not less than 10,000 tons and in multiples of 500 tons thereof. Offers with less than 10,000 tons of met coke will not be considered by SAIL-VISL.

The company is looking to procure met coke with ash (dry basis) of 12-13%, total moisture of 4-10%, VM of 1.0-1.5% and sulphur of 0.60-0.75%.
