Vizag Port expects more coal vessels in May

May 6: Vizag Port is expecting more coal vessels later this month, a port official told ICMW.

“We are expecting more coal vessels later this month as new tie-ups with various coal importing companies are expected,” the official said.

He added that in April the port’s coal handling edged down a little compared to the same month a year ago.

Meanwhile, the port has completed dredging WQ 1, 2 and 3 and can handle Panamax vessels with a draft of 12.5 meters and is continuing dredging in EQ8 berth.
