Vizag Port sees met coke imports after 4 months

July 9: A volume of 1,421 tons of met coke was imported via Vizag Port in June 2014, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

It may be noted that there were no imports of this material through the port for the last four months in calendar 2014. However, in January, the volume was at 4,535 tons when 4,330 tons had arrived from Italy in a price band of Rs 14,583-Rs 14,701 ($234-$236) per ton while the balance 205 tons had arrived from China at a unit price of Rs 19,161 ($308).

In June, the entire volume arrived from China at a unit price of Rs 13,789 ($228).
