Vizag gypsum imports nosedive to 740 tons in Nov

December 11: Gypsum imports through the port of Vizag nosedived to 740 tons in November 2014 against 55,260 tons in October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In November 2013, gypsum imports through the port stood at 39,510 tons.
On a cumulative basis, imports of the material for the first eight months of the current fiscal stood at 600,380 tons while the same for the previous fiscal were at 667,985.
Following is the monthly break-up of gypsum imports via Vizag Port in 2013-14 and through 2014-15:

In November, 429 tons arrived from Oman in a band of Rs 9,361 – Rs 9,705 ($151-156) 188 tons arrived from Vietnam at a unit price of Rs 11,835 ($191) and 50 tons from Iran at Rs 5,619 ($91) per ton.
In October, 55,185 tons arrived from Oman in a band of Rs 1,348 – Rs 9,619 ($22-154) while the balance 75 tons arrived from Vietnam at a unit price of Rs 11,883 ($192).
