WBMDTCL floats notice to allot coal via spot e-auction

September 2: West Bengal Mineral Development & Trading Corporation Limited (WBMDTCL) has floated a notice to allot coal via the e-auction platform of mjunction Services Limited during the month of September, according to information available with ICMW.
A total of 92,000 tons of coal is being offered for allotment out of which 11,500 tons will be offered to the micro and small scale enterprises. Out of this, 9,500 tons is of GCV 6,101-6,400 Kcal/kg (G-4) ROM with reserve price at Rs 3,490/ton and 2,000 tons is of GCV 5,801-6,100 Kcal/Kg (G-5 ROM) with reserve price at Rs 2,800/ton.
The rest of 80,500 tons will be offered to the West Bengal-based general buyers. Out of this quantity, 66,500 tons is of GCV 6,101-6,400 Kcal/kg (G-4) ROM with reserve price at Rs 3,490/ton while 14,000 tons is of GCV 5,801-6,100 Kcal/Kg (G-5 ROM) with reserve price at Rs 2,800/ton.
The entire quantity is being offered from the Trans Damodar OCP, Barjora mines in Bankura and the auction will be held on September 10, 2013.
During the last month, 27,258 tons of coal offered by WBMDTCL for allotment to the general consumers on an all-India basis met with strong response as almost the entire quantity got allotted.
