Over April 12-16, most of the non-Australian coking coal prices under Mysteel’s assessments increased, mainly on its remaining supply tightness despite less buying from China, while the premium low-volatile (PLV) hard coking coal price assessment that mainly refers to Australian PLV coal, stayed unchanged on week at $128.5/t CFR North China on low trading.

 

As of April 16, Mysteel’s premium medium-volatile (PMV) hard coking coal price, based on mainly coal supplies from countries other than Australia, reached an almost two-month high of $220/t CFR North China, or up by $6/tonne on week, as the Chinese buyers still focused on procuring such coal.
