December 30: During November 2013, out of a total quantity of 110,900 tons of different grades of coal offered for allotment by Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) on MSTC's e-auction platform, a total of only 10,650 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,715 per ton.
Out of the total quantity, 36,000 tons of G8 grade coal was offered which failed to attract any bid. On the other hand, out of 29,700 tons of mixed grade coal, 7,500 got allotted while out of 45,200 tons of G6 grade coal, 3,150 tons got allotted.
