Yunnan Jan-Jul coal output down 10.7% on y-o-y

Southwestern China’s coal-rich Yunnan province produced 27.63 million tonnes of coal over January-July, down 10.7% year on year, showed data from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on August 26.
During the same period, sales of commercial coal at Yunnan fell 14.3% on year to 33.88 million tonnes, with 3.2 million tonnes sold out of the province, dropping 35.5% from a year ago, the NDRC data showed.
Total rail transport was 1.08 million tonnes over January-July, falling 40.3% from the year prior.
By end-July, total coal stocks at coal enterprises across the province stood at 1.31 million tonnes, dipping 5.8% from a year ago but up 3.15% from June.
