Ambuja Cement commissions 2.4 mtpa brownfield project

Ambuja Cement has successfully commissioned 2.4 million ton per annum (mtpa) brownfield expansion of cement unit in Sankrail, West Bengal, according to a BSE filing.

With commissioning of this Cement Unit, Ambuja Cement’s capacity has increased to 102.95 mtpa. After achieving 100 million tons per annum (mtpa) capacity during 2024-25 (FY25), Ambuja Cements eyes 118 mtpa of annual production capacity by FY26.

Earlier, the Adani Group cement company had acquired a 26 percent stake in Orient Cement, pushing its total shareholding in the company to 72.66 percent.
