Coal Minister reviews meet on further increasing coal production & Offtake

The meeting Carried out a detailed discussion on further
increasing coal production and offtake from Central Coalfields Limited.
Ranchi, Jharkhand: Union
Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs Shri Pralhad Joshi visited
Ranchi Jharkhand to review the two coal companies, CCL and ECL, chaired a
meeting with the CMD of Central Coalfields Limited and other senior
officials.
Chief Secretary of Jharkhand, State's Mining Secretary, Shri.
Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, Coal India Limited, Addl. Coal Secretary, DC Godda,
CMD, CCL, Shri. A. P. Panda, CMD, ECL, and senior management of CCL and ECL
were also present in the meeting.
Deliberated on a host of issues to build a conducive environment
for mining activities in the State, especially the Rajmahal area. Appreciate
the State's Administrative team for their support & cooperation.
The meeting Carried out a detailed discussion on further
increasing coal production and offtake from Central Coalfields Limited. Also
worked out ways to free land from all encumbrances, with the help of State
administration, Joshi said.
He Further reviewed mining operations and coal offtake from
Eastern Coalfields Limited (A subsidiary of Coal India) in the presence of
Chairman Coal India Limited and the CMD of ECL and appreciated the hard work of
coal miners to fulfill the energy demands of the nation and urged them to
further scale up coal production and dispatch.
