FLASH: Newcastle port coal exports fall 11% MoM in Jan

Port of Newcastle in Australia exported a total of 13.1 million
tonnes of coal in January, down by 11.3% on month. Though the figure was still
30.9% higher than the same month last year, according to the new data from the
Port of Newcastle.
The value of coal exports
through the port reached about A$2.72 billion ($1.8 billion) in January, down
by 37.9% on year and 20.7% on month, according to the data. Newcastle
port, located in New South Wales on Australia's East Coast, is the largest coal
port in the country. It handles
