MNRE extends R&D proposal submissions for green hydrogen

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced a final extension for the submission of proposals under the Research and Development Scheme for Green Hydrogen to September 15, 2025.

Under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the ministry had issued the second call for proposals on July 14, 2025, inviting eligible institutions to submit their R&D proposals by 21st August 2025. Following this, several stakeholders requested more time to prepare and submit quality proposals.

After considering these requests, MNRE has extended the deadline. The ministry has made it clear that this is the final extension, and no further requests for deadline extension will be entertained. All other terms and conditions will remain unchanged.

The decision to extend the deadline has been approved by the Competent Authority, giving institutions and industries additional time to contribute effectively to the Green Hydrogen Mission.
