Railways coal loading averaged 497 rakes/day in FY23 so far

Indian Railways’ coal loading averaged 496 rakes per day so far in the current calendar year (April to December 14), up 14.1 per cent compared to the year-ago period, Parliament was informed

During April-June 2022, Railways faced difficulties in meeting power plants coal requirements, which had risen substantially on account of earlier-than-expected summer.
