Singareni Collieries Targets 2L Tonnes Daily Coal Production

Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is ramping up coal production to ensure uninterrupted supply to all thermal power stations in Telangana. The company aims to produce 2 lakh tonnes of coal per day, as directed by SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Balaram during a video conference with area general managers (AGMs) on Saturday.

Balaram reviewed the current coal production and instructed AGMs to expedite the removal of water from open-cast mine 

Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is ramping up coal production to ensure uninterrupted supply to all thermal power stations in Telangana. The company aims to produce 2 lakh tonnes of coal per day, as directed by SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Balaram during a video conference with area general managers (AGMs) on Saturday.

Balaram reviewed the current coal production and instructed AGMs to expedite the removal of water from open-cast mines, which had accumulated due to recent heavy rains. He emphasised the company’s responsibility to ensure sufficient coal production to support the state’s power supply. He also urged officers and employees to work diligently to recover losses incurred over the past three months due to continuous rainfall.

In addition, Balaram ordered officials to expedite preparations to commence production from the Kottagudem mine within two months, following recent forest department clearance.
