Some 1.7 million tons of coal prepared for cold season in Kyrgyzstan so far

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 1.7 million tons of coal were prepared so far for the cold season, Kyrgyz Coal state enterprise director Kanatbek Ashirbaev said.

The country's coal need makes 2.756 million tons. Public sector organizations need 298,000 tons, population - 1.247 million tons, Bishkek combined heat and power plant - 1.2 million tons.

650,000 tons are supplied from local coal fields and 550,000 tons will be imported from Kazakhstan.

Coal deliveries to the Bishkek combined heat and power plant started since September 1.
